In 1989, Michel Leclerc began to sketch out a basis for a board game based on
the markets of the Chicago and New York commodity stock exchange. After many months
of consultation with business and management advisors, he drew up a strategic
business plan for the American market. Michel Leclerc also met senior executive’s
of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade in order to test
the game among secondary and higher schools. After attending the International Toy Fair
in New York City in 1998, Leclerc decided that he had a hit and the prototype
of STAKXCHANGE“ was created.

Since 1998, Leclerc persisted on improving his game working
any time he could, day and night as well as week and weekend.
He used his talent in art in order to rebuild the visual content
of STAKXCHANGE“. It’ s true that Leclerc has an important
background in creativity. He graduated with degrees in Information
Technology in 1969, Graphic Design/Publicity in 1972, Communications
(Université Laval) in 1974 and Marketing/Publicity (HEC Montreal)
in 1986. Moreover, he worked as the Art Director in major advertising
agencies of Québec and a partner in communication firms
that focused on small and medium enterprises and
retail trade firms.

Thus, with all these experiences, Leclerc brings to the company graphic design
experience; publicity, packaging and marketing knowledge; Web production resources
and firm management expertise. However, he has people around for support and
advise including Yvon Roy and Jean-Marc Lacoste. Roy, a renowned illustrator whose
work is featured in the web site of The Apple Collection and the employment’s guide
of the Government of Canada has brought his personal skill to the illustrations.
Lacoste, a management’s advisor and broker, has brought his expertise
of the inner-workings of the stock market and it’s terms. |

At the beginning of the year 2003, a new wind blows
on Leclerc’s life and in the games industry with
the appearance of STAKXCHANGE“ in the American
markets. In fact, Momentum[4]Fun launched
"STAKXCHANGE“ at the International Toy Fair
in New York City in 2003. The game will be in stores July 9th.
“This game is for everyone who wishes to have a great
moment with family and friends even if their interest
in trading is minimal” says Leclerc. “But unconsciously
they will get used to the vocabulary of the market and
become more aware of the stock exchange
and the world”. |
